There are spots on the skin due to excessive production or irregularity of melanocyte cells that give the skin its natural color. Most skin blemishes are caused by overexposure to sunlight. In addition, genetic factors, hormonal drugs, some chemicals and pregnancy disrupt the structure of the cell that gives the skin its color. Skin spots caused by these reasons can cause both a bad appearance and in some cases, problems such as skin cancer.
Types of Skin Spots
Skin spots may be congenital or may appear later. These types of skin blemishes are:
Acne

How is the Treatment of Skin Spots?
The method to be applied in the treatment of skin blemishes differs according to the cause of the formation of the blemish. The treatment process varies according to the depth and size of the stain. In the treatment of skin spots, it is recommended to be done in winter when the sun's rays are less. In the treatment applied in the summer, permanent stains may occur in the area exposed to the sun's rays.
In the mesotherapy method, amino acids, antioxidants and multivitamins are injected under the skin with a fine needle. In this way, cell regeneration is ensured in the stained area. In mesotherapy treatment, both skin blemishes are treated and a healthy appearance is formed on the skin.
Chemical peeling method provides effective results on superficial stains and scars. With chemical peeling, the surface of the skin is peeled and collagen synthesis is provided in the treatment area. As a result of this process, cells renew themselves. However, it is very important to protect the skin from the sun. The person should not pick the peeled skin for about 1 week.
In the cryotherapy method, the spots are frozen with liquid nitrogen and the treated area is crusted. As the crusts fall, the spots disappear. It may cause redness and swelling for a short time.
In the PRP method, the platelet-rich plasma part of the blood taken from the person is separated and injected into the skin immediately afterwards. Thanks to the clot cells used in the PRP method, the spots heal. The skin gains a brighter appearance.
One of the most commonly used methods in the treatment of skin blemishes is laser treatment. Pigment cells regenerate by absorbing laser beams. Other cells are not affected by these rays. Laser therapy should be applied with caution in dark-colored people. In addition to spots, other dark areas can be affected by laser beams.
The Dermapen is a pen-shaped device with many fine needles at the tip. In this treatment method, serum is applied to the skin and then the dermapen device is moved over the skin spots. Unknown holes are formed in the region. Bleeding occurs in the area where the procedure is performed, this ensures the regeneration of the skin and the formation of spots disappears. It is not recommended to do this in the summer months.
