Face lift aesthetics is a surgical method that restores the old appearance by stretching the sagging and wrinkles that occur on the skin with advancing age.
With the advancement of age, the effect of sun rays, stress and other factors, the skin sags, wrinkles and various spots occur.
The skin structures that need face lift aesthetics are as follows:
- Prominence in the forehead line
- Drooping eyebrows
- Drooping eyelids
- Bags and lines under the eyes
- Formation of deep scratches in the mouth and nose area
- Sagging cheeks
- Getting lost in chin contours
- Fatigue and skin curtain formation on the neck
Skin type, degree of skin tightness, tissue healing rate and bone structure of the person can affect the surgery to varying degrees.
The aim of facelift aesthetics is to have a natural and young face. Thanks to this surgery, a long-term rejuvenation is provided. With facelift surgery, sagging and wrinkles on the face, neck and forehead skin are removed. Excess fat is removed from the cheeks and neck.
Face Lift Surgery
With age, the skin of the face and neck loosens. Lines and wrinkles form and they deepen over time. The fatty tissues on the cheeks sag, the transition line from the face to the neck becomes blurred, the sharp boundaries of the chin disappear. Due to the tickle, the second chin is formed. The face and neck look tired, although the person still feels young and energetic.
It is used for treatments such as face lift surgery, age-related facial sagging and wrinkles. Surgical technique has changed considerably over the past two decades. In the skin stretching techniques used before, there was a serious visible scar after the surgery. Today, face lift techniques are used, which provide natural rejuvenation without creating a significant tension on the facial skin, and have long-term and beautiful results. Different face lift techniques are used to correct different parts of the face.
Other methods applied together with face lift surgery are lower and upper eyelid surgeries. The process of removing fat from the neck is often added to the surgery to prevent the unbalanced appearance of the face and neck.

How is Face Lift Surgery Performed?
Facelift surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. However, sedation anesthesia can also be preferred. If the excess fat tissues on the neck are to be removed, liposuction is performed. Neck fat is reduced with proper and balanced liposuction treatment. The skin incisions used in facelift aesthetics are well hidden around the ear contours and between the scalp. There is no hair loss in this application. Afterwards, the facial skin is meticulously laid on the reshaped soft tissue for tension, the hairline is aligned, and the excess skin is removed. Skin incisions closed using thin suture materials usually heal without leaving any scars. A non-pressurized face wrap is used after the surgery. The patient is usually discharged the same day or the next day after surgery.

The patient should not move much for up to two weeks and should not be exposed to the sun for six days. The patient can make up after two weeks. The patient recovers completely within 1 year.
